Business performance metrics

Red Hat Marketplace is committed to providing you as much information as possible about customers while complying with privacy laws and regulations and the IBM Privacy Policy. There are three categories of information we will share with you:

  1. Transactional: We will share customer information and details for both trial registrations and purchase transactions. Technical support requests are also included under this category.
  2. Contact you: There are several features in Red Hat Marketplace that enable customers to request additional information or to contact you. In these cases we will provide you with the customer contact information and provide notice to the customer that your privacy policy applies to subsequent direct interactions with you.

Below are descriptions of the information that will be shared with you.

Revenue report

A revenue report will be available for you to download from the Partner Portal. This revenue report will provide the details for each billing transaction with customers. The report will contain the following type of information:

Purchase information

  • Product name
  • Edition ID and partner provided Vendor Charge ID (SKU)
  • Quantity, unit of measure
  • Committed subscription term (start date, end date)
  • Committed purchase amount (full subscription term)

Customer information

  • Company name, and email address of user that purchased
  • Customer account numbers
  • Customer location (address, city, state/province/region, country)

Billing information

  • Purchase/billing date
  • Billing period (start date, end date)
  • Amount billed to the customer (USD and local currency)
  • Taxes billed to the customer (USD and local currency)

Allocations

  • Partner percentage and the amount paid to the partner (USD)
  • Taxes withheld from the partner payment, including Marketplace service tax (USD)
  • IBM percentage (Marketplace Facilitator Fee) (USD)
  • Refunds or credits to customers (USD and local currency)
  • Country and state of partner for tax purposes

Trial registration report

A report will be available for you to download from the Partner Portal. This trial registration report will provide the details for each client that registered for a trial of one of your products. This information will allow you to follow up with the client to assist the client to a purchase decision. This report is in addition to the automated notification you will receive at the time of each trial registration. The report will contain the following type of information:

Customer information

  • Company name, and email address of user that purchased
  • Customer account numbers
  • Customer location (address, city, state/province/region, country)

Trial information

  • Product name
  • Edition ID and partner provided Vendor Charge ID (SKU)
  • Quantity, unit of measure
  • Length of trial
