Delivery method
Operator
Massive amounts of data move as messages between applications, systems and services at any given time. If an application isn’t ready or if there’s a service interruption, messages and transactions can be lost or duplicated, costing businesses time and money to make things right. With MQ, if a message can’t be delivered immediately, it’s secured in a queue, where it waits until delivery is assured. MQ moves data, including file data, once — and once only. Never lose a message with MQ.
Once-and-once-only delivery
The reliable once-and-once-only delivery of MQ lets you feel confident that messages will go through. Others use at-least-once or at-most-once delivery, which can mean duplicate or lost messages.
Asynchronous messaging
MQ acts as a shock absorber between applications in asynchronous messaging environments. If there’s network or application disruption, it holds messages in queues until everything is running.
Powerful protection
For end-to-end encryption, MQ encrypts at the message level, as well as using transport level security (TLS), helping protect you from both internal and external threats.
Simplified, smart management
IBM MQ automates balancing of your messaging traffic through Uniform Clusters so you can spend more time on what matters to your business.
Augmented security
Benefit from updates in TLS 1.3 and dynamically select the cipherspecs that apply. Using AMS? We have Java keystore protection, PKCS#11 Java support and encryption between queue managers (IBM z/OS® only).
Experience true end-to-end encryption
MQ Advanced brings you unmatched encryption with MQ advanced message security (AMS). What sets AMS apart is the way its end-to-end message encryption protects data in flight, in memory, and at rest. If only your disk is encrypted, your valuable message data is at risk if your disk is compromised. AMS provides policy-based, application-level, end-to-end data security across your entire connectivity infrastructure.
Accelerated Red Hat® OpenShift® experience
Use prebuilt MQ Advanced containers with resilience and security-rich features provided. Benefit from a simplified administration experience by using the MQ Operator.
Expanded client application options
Run applications in .NET core, integrate better with IBM WebSphere® Liberty, use Java 11 clients and make managed file transfer agents (MFTs) highly available.
