Overview on tag management

Users can create tags for departments, projects, and more, and then apply tags to products and namespaces. This enables users to filter usage data by tag.

Tags are received in the metering api in the property namespace. Usage will be tagged with any tag information received through the metering api.

Tag OpenShift namespaces

You can add labels to namespaces in OpenShift, which tags all products deployed within that scope. The ‘IBM Metrics Operator’ will automatically pick up any tags that have the prefix ‘swc.saas.ibm.com’. Example of tagging: ‘oc label namespace myworkload swc.saas.ibm.com/key=value’
