About delivery method

The delivery method indicates how customers fulfill their purchase. Red Hat Marketplace supports the following delivery methods:

  • Operator
  • SaaS
  • SaaS with Operator
  • Download

Delivery method descriptions

Namedescription
OperatorOn Workspace, users can deploy an operator to a registered cluster.
SaaS with operatorOn Workspace, users can deploy an operator to a registered cluster and can click a link to launch a web application.
SaaSOn Workspace, users can click a link to launch a web application.
DownloadOn Workspace, users can download standalone applications to local computers or mount to registered clusters.

Set up SaaS delivery method

Prerequisite

Procedure

  1. Navigate to product pricing setup.
  2. On the Edition details section, on the Delivery method list, select SaaS.
  3. On the Service information section, on the Launch URL box, enter a URL.
  4. Click Save.

Result

You configured your product edition for SaaS.

Set up SaaS with Operator delivery method

Prerequisite

Procedure

  1. Navigate to product pricing setup.
  2. On the Edition details section, on the Delivery method list, select SaaS with Operator.
  3. On the Service information section, on the Launch URL box, enter a URL.
  4. On the Container information section, complete the container information fields.
  5. Click Save.

Result

You configured your product edition for SaaS with Operator.

Set up Operator delivery method

Procedure

  1. Navigate to product pricing setup.
  2. On the Edition details section, on the Delivery method list, select Operator.
  3. On the Container information section, complete the container information fields.
  4. Click Save.

Container information field descriptions

NameDescription
Operator nameThe package name of your operator in red-hat-marketplace catalog.
OpenShift versionIndicates the major and minor version of OpenShift compatible with the operator.
Patch numberIndicates the patch version of OpenShift compatible with the operator.
Display a + after the OpenShift version to include later versionsIndicates when higher versions of OpenShift are compatible with the operator.

Set up Download delivery method

Prerequisite

Procedure

  1. Navigate to product pricing setup.
  2. On the Edition details section, on the Delivery method list, select Download.
  3. On the Standalone application information section, select the following options:
    • RHEL 7
    • RHEL 8
  4. Click Save.

Result

You configured your product edition for Download.
